PANGÆA

PANGÆA

BY NICK NEDZYNSKI

(HERE FOLLOW ALL THE LYRICS FROM PANGÆA.)

MY KINGDOM

Hovering high, amongst the clouds,
Whilst the world below burns.
Forsaking the tainted thoughts of crowds,
Whilst the world above turns.
The stars and the sun continue to shine
In this inviolate kingdom of mine.

Deities perched on their pedestals,
Fallen to a thousand shards.
An eternity of war, attacks and reprisals
Exposed beneath freedom's façade.
Yet in the domain of my dreams,
Love and hope still reign supreme.

The crimson pages of the past
Show tyrants and their rule,
And a supporting cast
Of assassins, thieves and fools.
The stars and the sun continue to shine
On this impregnable castle of mine.

And, as the earth lies crying
Beneath a bloody knife,
I start the day by dying,
And gain the prize of life.
And, amidst the bloodshed, death and screams,
There still remain my sanguine dreams.

My kingdom… .

THE QUEST

Consciousness awakens
The briefness of our time:
A journey undertaken
To search for the sublime.

This paradoxical duality,
Shattered and in pieces.
Forlorn, ephemeral brutality,
To be found where sadness ceases.

Illumination,
Transfiguration,
Regeneration
Or Immolation?

The shameful shadow of the past:
An eternal mystery.
Annihilate the last
Vestiges of history.

The fleeting future shows its face,
Falters, and departs.
The missing memory of our race,
Hidden deep inside our hearts.

Illumination,
Transfiguration,
Regeneration
Or Immolation?

The Rorschach of the mind
Within the spirit lies.
And, though I may be blind,
My ideals never die.

Ideals never die… .

MYSTERIES I NOW ACCEPT

All of life's unanswered questions:
An open book, no end to read.
A sleepwalk filled with empty gestures,
Monotony and vile greed.
Tainted by this swarm of flies,
They glide by without a thought.
Society fills their heads with lies.
Existence comes to nought.

Such mystery…

Then I see her shining face:
Deliverance has come to me.
Blessed with glory and with grace,
Her guiding hand will set me free.
Sanctuary within her arms,
Solace given by her words:
In her kiss, and through her charms,
We rise above the seething herd.

Such mystery…

Mysteries I Now Accept,
Of life and love,
Of death and hate.
A longing I cannot forget:
For this to last,
To satiate.
This knowledge that has always slept
Inside of me,
Inviolate.
These Mysteries I Now Accept.

I prayed for love and yearned for mercy.
She has answered all my pleas.
We embark upon our odyssey.
We shall not fear life's raging seas.
Heats and souls ever entwined:
Kindred spirits sail on.
Enigmas we shall seek and find,
Into Eden and beyond,

Such mystery…

Mysteries I Now Accept,
Of life and love,
Of death and hate.
A longing I cannot forget:
For this to last,
To satiate.
This knowledge that has always slept
Inside of me,
Inviolate.
These Mysteries I Now Accept.

ACIES: TERRA

Æons of pain
And years of war.
A scarlet reign:
The tyrant's cause.
Epoch of hate,
Drowned in our blood,
Closes the gate
That leads to love

In this woeful world.

On hallowed ground
We wait alone,
Adorned with crowns
Of skin and bone.
This battleground,
For which we die,
Ever resounds
To conflict's cry

In this woeful world.

Revere the graves
Of martyrdom.
Pray to be saved
By Gods long gone.
The lords of hate,
Drenched in our blood,
Turn and laugh in
The face of love

In this woeful world.

THE ONWARD MARCH OF DESTINY

Now for all that has been and will come,
Marching to the sound of destiny's drum.
Now for peace, and now for war,
Moving in unison to the words of the law.
Now for illusions, now for reality;
Now for a hymn to the God of duality.
Now for dreams and desires dashed;
Now for idols, fallen and smashed.
Now for ashes, and now for dust;

Now for Love and her sister, Lust.
Now for the future, present and past;
Now for the first, and now for the last.
Now for blood, and now for tears;
Now for our hopes and for our fears.
Now for faith, and now for reason;
Now for loyalty and treason.
Now for a world which once stood united,
But now dies on its feet, torn and divided.
